PhaseLink introduces the lowest jitter VCXO clock Family for Set-top boxes and ADSL modem Markets |
| | Fremont, Calif., July 31, 2000
PhaseLink Corporation, a leading clock synthesizer supplier, today announced the PLL501-01, and PLL501-05 as the first members of its high integration VCXO clock family.
| | These devices are ideal for use in digital set-top boxes, ADSL modem, Satellite Receiver, Cable modem and other applications where it is necessary to lock a local oscillator to another frequency source, such as a clock recovery circuit.
| | All devices in PhaseLink’s VCXO portfolio feature low jitter, internal varicap providing a minimum ±100 PPM pull range, 0 to 3V input tuning voltage, and are designed to replace expensive discrete VCXOs.
| | The output is compatible with current HCMOS and TTL logic families. The recommended supply voltages are 3.3V ±10% with supply currents ranging from 10 to 25mA max, depending on frequency range. Both parts use an external parallel resonant crystal.
| | The PLL501-01 provides a fixed output at twice the frequency of the input (ideal for 27MHz applications using a 13.5MHz crystal). The PLL501-05 generates a fixed 35.328Mhz ± 100 PPM from a 13.248Mhz crystal (ideal for ADSL modem applications).
| | PhaseLink designed the PLL501 Series with an eye toward keeping noise as low as possible. Standard Deviation reading of 14ps at 27Mhz is exceptionally low for VCXO clock ICs in CMOS PLL based design.
| | The PLL501-01/-05s are currently available for sampling and can be purchased in production quantities. All devices come in an 8-pin 150mil SOP package and is priced at $3.00 in quantities of 1000. |
